TESTIMONIALS
“I was in a box, and I didn’t even know I was in a box — a way of life where everything is about doing things, not actually being. After a big loss , I didn’t feel like I had space to grieve. I’ve been trying to find people, culture and places where I can find that space, and you guys have been the absolute best for that.
The first time, on Haguro, it just clicked for me so hard. Then I knew I needed to go see Gassan. The meditation at the top is my happy place: really still, really clear, and really connected. Just being here right now, right in the moment. I think the mountain is designed to do that for us. And at the lodge, I just felt like I was part of the family.
This is something you can only experience. I could kind of tell you what it’s like in words, but you just gotta go do it. And you have an experienced Yamabushi with you. It’s kind of recalibrated my life. I just don’t really see the world the same way.”
